SignSee

Accessibility statement

Last reviewed on 25 August 2026. This statement covers the SignSee website at sign-see.com, in both English and Dutch. The SignSee app itself is still in development and is not covered yet.

What we aim for

We build this website to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Accessibility is part of what SignSee is for, so we treat it as a requirement rather than an extra.

How far we are

We believe this website meets WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That is based on our own review, carried out on 25 August 2026. It has not been audited by an independent party.

What we checked ourselves:

  • The whole page can be used with a keyboard, focus is always visible, and focused elements are not hidden behind the sticky header.
  • Text and interface colours meet the required contrast in both the light and the dark theme.
  • The page works at 320 pixels wide and at 200% text zoom without horizontal scrolling or loss of content.
  • Headings, landmarks, lists and image descriptions are set correctly for screen readers.
  • Everything except the dark-mode button works without JavaScript, including switching between English and Dutch.
  • The demo video has no sound, does not play by itself, and has a written description next to it.

Known limitations

  • The demo video has no captions or audio description, because it contains no speech or sound. A text description is given instead. If we add narration, we will add captions with it.
  • The website has not been tested with every screen reader and browser combination.
  • No independent accessibility audit has been carried out yet.
  • The SignSee app, including the webcam practice screen, is not covered by this statement.
